God's Word

We are always striving to know and understand God better.  Below are our foundational beliefs found in His marvelous Word.

We Believe

God...

created everything, including humankind. He desires to have a loving relationship with each of us, He desires for us to enjoy the beauty of His creation and He made a way for us to eternally live with Him.

The Bible...

is God's inspired words for us to learn how to live life spiritually and be in relationship with Him.

Sin...

is direct rebellion against God and others - it creates a separation between us from Him.

Salvation...

is for everyone and it is ours for the taking…meaning, there is no cost, hidden motives, nor trickery. Salvation is FREE! God made a way for us to be saved through His son, Jesus. Jesus’ death on the cross and His resurrection opened the door for our salvation from the sins that have separated us with God.

Baptism...

is our response to a surrendered life and a willingness to follow Jesus faithfully. Baptism demonstrates a devotion to the teachings of Scripture and a willingness to be immersed in water as a pledge to commit to following Jesus. Romans 6:1-4, “Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death? For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.

The Lord's Supper...

is the bread (represents Christ's body) and the cup (represents Christ's blood). Shiloh enjoys taking the Lord’s Supper each week to celebrate and remember Jesus’ sacrifice.

Worship...

is our way to express our love to God for His enduring love for us. We worship through singing, praying, encouraging one another and teaching.

The Church...

are the people who gather to worship, who live out their faith in their homes, workplace and in every day life. The church seeks to live out spiritual values by helping others see the essence of Jesus, by helping those in physical need and most importantly, by sharing the truth about Jesus.
